Your eyes,
Like ice; cold with determination.
The day they melt, so far from here.
Your lips,
So fierce.
Carved into a grim line; prepared for the worst.
Arrogance,
Tainted with betrayal.
With anger.
With regret.
The lines of your face fail to break; they are chiseled into pale stone.
Unbreakable.
Your mind,
Concealed.
Lost.
Your thoughts
Buried beneath the pain.
Your confidence,
So superficial.
A sinking ship upon relentless waves.
But you hold fast, for it is all you know.
And yet somehow, you rise above.
Against the odds you stand tall, hiding behind your ego.
Your wall.
Brick by brick I search for a crack in your composure.
Only when it is too late, do you realize who I am, as I lay before you.
Fading white fire.
Drifting sapphire eyes.
I tried to save you from yourself, but inside of you, hope has died.
Believing hurts too much.
It leaves behind devastation.
Deep, jagged, wounds on your soul.
Wounds that will never heal.
I tried to close them, but distrust made you wary.
Fear made you shy away.
You think I don't know you.
But I do, far better than you think.
