D i s t o r t e d
She sees through the distortion,
under the mask, she finds a hidden reality;
Looking past the vision -
underneath: there's the shining beauty . . .
The whole surrounding had become very much familiar to her, which was quite ironic since she had first abhorred this place of distortion. Who else would like to see things upside down, contrary to what they were in reality? Grotesque, indeed. Albeit it had seemed beautiful to her in away. Since she didn't want to be left alone while her brother Newton did some research in this foreign world that she didn't know existed, she just decided to come with him in this extraordinary journey.
But there was more to that, she was certain.
It was because he would be there.
She had liked Zero ever since she was young. He would always be in their house while he and her brother busied themselves with technical things that she would never understand. The worst and most painful part was, he hardly ever looked at her. Maybe he was really just there because he was her brother's assistance. It was as though she did not existed . . . Years flew by and yet there was hardly an improvement in their relationship.
Would everything even change?
The tiny test tube exploded in a thousand shards of glasses. The greenish chemical splattered in every direction, filling the table with grime. Worse was, covering Zero's clothes in the stench of the viscous liquid. It was slowly evaporating into thin air, creating holes in his white apron.
"Damn it!"
Nana acted on instinct, with Prinplup watching idly on her side, she cried, "Prinplup, use water gun!"
A jet of crystalline blue water shot towards Zero, who was knocked backwards in the impact. Other tables were blasted away in the process, and then there were the incessant sounds of breaking glasses. Panic rising through her, Nana blustered, "No, stop Prinplup!"
The pokemon followed.
Everything was a hideous mess. The lab was a mass of trashes.
