It was a silly story, really- but then, Nori had said it was a children's tale.

It was a silly, childish fairy tale…but somehow, Shinku couldn't stop running it through her head.

Maybe it was because she knew that there was a chance that tonight she would fall asleep and never wake up-no matter if Jun kissed her or not.

Maybe it was the fact that for a few seconds, she had been able to see Jun kissing her so clearly…

Maybe it was all of those things and none of those things-Shinku did not care to think about it too long or too hard hard. It didn't really matter, did it? It was just a children's story, a silly children's story.

Shinku dressed herself slowly, carefully.

When she was finished, she walked over and looked at him as lay there, sleeping peacefully.

Jun was such a child- stumbling and unsure, hiding behind anger and pretending not to care- he was such a child.

But he was her medium-her servant. He had defended her, coming to her rescue without a care for his own life. And he had such talents in his fingers…for only a moment, Shinku allowed herself to wonder what Jun would be like when he was full grown.

Shinku leaned over and kissed the sleeping prince- knowing that she might never see him again.
