Don't shoot me! I know, i know. I should be working on my other pieces, but when i went back and read over them, i nearly burst into tears. it was horrible. But yes, I'm back :)

This is a very short little ficlet that my fingers decided to type... when i was supposed to do my photography homework. (mind you i was watching doctor who instead of doing said homework...) But yes, this is a ONE SHOT.

This was very rushed and it didn't come out exactly the way i wanted it too, but...eh.

"Daddy, can you tell me a story?" the little boy whispered, his sea green eyes big and scared. He was only six years old and he was dying.

All because of a drunk driver. His wife had been walking their son to school, when a car had slammed into the two of them. She had been killed on impact, he was dying from internal bleeding. There was nothing the doctors could do.

"Daddy?" his son's small voice pulled him from his stupor.

The man smiled softly. "What story do you want?" he asked. "Achilles? Heracles?" The six year old shook his head. "Perseus?" he shook his head again.

"Can you make one up? About me, you and Mommy?" he asked. The man racked his brains for something. Something that would make his little boy happy. His son had always loved the Greek Myths, preferring them to fairy tales. Then, the older male remembered a conversation that he and his little boy had a while back.

"Daddy, are you a god?" Percy had suddenly blurted at the dinner table. So that had been what he'd been mulling over for the past few days. The man had laughed.

"No. But you are a hero." His wife had said, smiling fondly at her family. The six year old wrinkled his nose in confusion.

"But all the heroes had a godly parent." He protested.

"Well, in New York city, there was a boy. He was twelve years old, he had black hair…" The man told his enraptured son, the story he had simply made up, on the spot. Told the little six year old a story of monsters, heroes, gods. A story of love, friendship and family.

The whole time, the little boy was losing more and more blood, his sea green eyes dimming. Going closer to death. An hour later, before the story was finished, the little boy fell asleep with a small smile on his face. He never woke up.

"Daddy!" The little boy cannoned into him, hugging the breath out of him. "You're here!" The man could feel his eyes tearing up. Fifty six years, and his little boy hadn't changed a bit. "Can you finish the story you were telling me?" he asked, looking up at his father hopefully.

"Of course I can. Can I see Mommy first though?" The little boy nodded happily, before the smile faded off his face. He frowned. He wrapped his arms around his father again.

"I missed you Daddy."

"I missed you too Percy."

As you may have noticed, this is a little bit choppy, and i will go and fix said choppy bits.

And yes, this was completely AU. HUMAN-AU...
