NOTES: Hello! Know its been a while since I have uploaded something, so this is a little poem I came up with - Hatter POV to Alice. Simple, cute, and touchy-feely, and very angsty mostly. Special treat to you guys for the new year! Love ya to death, all my beautiful readers and reviewers. Enjoy, read, and reviews as always are immensely appreciated :)

Distorted Façade

It is all an act now.

Nothing more and nothing else.

My life is just an act now.

Feet heavy with lies,

Heart heavy with misery,

Head heavy with loss,

Bowed down in respect, in salute.

My world feels empty without Alice.

Her cheerful laughs,

Her blue figure,

Her fearless soul,

Are no longer there to fill me.

It is almost like she was wiped away.

No one acts like she came,

Or like she left,

And they expect the same from me.

Forgetting her is tempting,

Those laughs and figure and soul

That creep at night in shadows,

And litter the shards of my heart

Like broken glass upon the ground.

Yet I cannot show my emptiness,

For pity jails it inside,

And everyone in Marmoreal would come with words

That would do nothing to fill me.

So I act,

And I pretend,

And I follow example.

Smile - hoping it reaches my eyes

Laugh - hoping someone hears my pain,

And behave as does everyone.

Yet inside I cannot control it.

So I act,

And I beg,

And I break down.

Cry - hoping it reaches my eyes,

Scream - hoping someone hears my pain,

And am left alone to wither within.

Still, I behave as does everyone,

And delude myself in one simple lie:

Everything's all right.

But, then again,

It is all an act now.
