This is oneshot has some truth to it. The event with all the fireflies actually happened to me. (I had NEVER seen that many before!) Naturally, I had to write about it. & myself being a huge "One Piece" fan… Well, you get the idea. I'm pretty sure that all of us want everyone back together so…
I could NEVER own "One Piece"! I CAN BARELY DRAW A STRAIGHT LINE! (Haha, I fail!)
Enjoy!
It was late, the clock in the men's quarters read half past eleven. I could not sleep, even after partying for nearly two days straight. We had a lot of celebrate though. We were all back together! We had all found each other again! After we had left the Sabaody Archipelago, we stopped at small summer island to get away from all that had happened. To just spend time together, like all nakama should.
I was lying in my bunk, listening to the snores, and soft mumbles of the others. That was when I saw a flicker of light outside the porthole. I sat up, and there was another flicker light. Rubbing my eyes, to see if I my eyes were playing a trick on me due to lack of sleep, when two flickers of light showed up. Swinging my legs off the bunk and padding over to the porthole, I discovered the source of the lights.
Fireflies.
Two, small fireflies.
Grabbing my hat, and not even bothering to close the door behind me, which I could have sworn I heard it bang against the wall, I raced up to the Thousand Sunny's lawn deck. The two fireflies I had seen on the porthole were nothing compared to what was waiting on the deck. There were thousands of fireflies! Like tiny stars that had fallen from the heavens just to regain their orbit on the deck. They parted some as I walked out onto the grassy deck. Sitting down I just watched as the lights flickered for a while.
"And here I thought you were raiding the fricken' fridge!" I heard Sanji's annoyed and sleepy voice carry from the other side of the deck. I saw him stop dead in his tracks when a pair of fireflies floated passed him, making his mouth form a small comical "O".
I chuckled and said, "Come on, sit down! These lil' guys don't bite!"
After Sanji had sat down beside me, Usopp had woken up, who, in turn, had awoken Chopper. The two soon joined us on deck, after a firefly hand landed on Usopp's nose and it had decided to stay there. Nami, and Robin must have heard the commotion, and had peeked their heads out of the main door. Sanji had tried to beckon them on deck, but it was the fireflies that had really stirred their interest. Leaving Sanji to his cat-calling, they joined us on the grass. Zoro tromped from his slumber next, complaining we were too loud. Franky, was only a minute behind Zoro, carrying a case of cola, with Brooke following the two of them, his violin in hand.
We all were sitting on the grassy deck, all was quiet. Until Usopp, with the lone firefly still on his nose, mumbled, "What a site…"
Brooke began to play Bink's Sake on his violin and we all joined in at the chorus. Once the song had ended, Zoro asked, "Captain, how long are we planning on staying here?"
I looked up at the sky and replied, "Till these stars disappear."
I hope you guys enjoyed this lil' warm and fuzzy oneshot! I know it wasn't very long , but please review!
