Author's Note: Hii! I'm back. My computer seems to be working again, so I might not have to wait until February to start uploading new stories and updating my existing ones. If this works, I can start again. If not, I'll have to wait until February or so until I get my MacBook Air. Okay, this is another Supergirl fic. It's set in the univers of my other fics. Astra Danvers was confused. She was confuse because today, January 20, 2017, was a very important day for the humans. It seemed to be a beginning of sorts. It caused arguments between Cat and Alexandra and it was a day where people just started randomly shouting at the television. Astra was confused because Kara, ever sweet and wonderful Kara was acting like the humans, yelling in a heated debate with her own wife and screaming at the television. She was also confused because the beginnings happened during New Year's Eve a couple of weeks ago, didn't they? So what was this?
"Brave one?" Astra inquired as they sat on their couch watching a program with a man yelling into a microphone. Alex looked up. "Yeah?" "What is today about?"
Alex smiled grimly. "Today, Astra, is doomsday. It's the day when our country collapses."
The Kryptonian's face grew worried. "We must save it!" she cried, jumping to her feet and hovering an inch or two off the ground. Alex reached up and gently tugged her back down. "No, no, Astra. It's not like that. I guess I was being hyperbolic. Let me rephrase that. Today, there's a ceremony called an inauguration happening. It's where the president elect officially becomes the President of the United States."
Astra nodded. She had watched the TV programs detailing this year's elections. She had stayed up with her family and watched as Donald Trump was elected the new head of the country. She thought the humans were so very stupid and idiotic when they chose him. He had some ideas that were detremental to the country. Humans.
"The arguments and yelling," Alex continued, "are because some people like Trump and some people don't. For instance, Cat is somewhat supportive of Trump, while Kara isn't."
The other woman nodded in understanding. "I see. And the new beginnings is because we ar receiving a new ruler?" Alex nodded. Humans were so strange.
