"Yue! Hurry up. You're gonna miss all the fun if you don't get in here right now!"
"Just one more second!" Yue tried to move all her hair up to the top of her head so it wouldn't get in the way of her and Suki's cooking. Besides, she didn't want to get long, white strands of hair in the pancake batter.
"There, you stay," she commanded her hair as it balanced precariously on her head as she walked to the kitchen in the house that she shared with the Kyoshi warrior.
Suki took one look at the Watertribe princess and started giggling.
"Oh spirits, your hair. I don't think it's gonna stay in that ridiculous pile you have it on your head my dear," Suki commented through her giggles.
Yue crossed her arms and pouted. "It's not my fault I have so much hair and that I can never do it right. Back home I always had servants who helped me do it right."
Suki sighed. "I know, I know. I'm just teasing. Now come here so I can fix it for you."
With a flop, Yue landed on the floor by Suki's feet and Suki got to work, carefully undoing the mess that Yue had made. As the kyoshi warrior girl's fingers ran through her hair, Yue couldn't help shiver in pleasure, like she always did when Suki touched her.
"There. Now it's perfect and out of your way," said Suki with a smile, offering the other girl a hand up. "Now it's time to make the pancakes."
Still leading her by the hand, she walked over to the cupboards and opened them. Together, they pulled out all of the ingredients, except for the flour, which they both grabbed at the same time.
"It's ok, I got it," reassured Suki.
"No, my hand was here first. I'll get it out," demanded Yue.
The two girls looked at each other, their eyes narrowed in stubborn defiance. They lifted the bag of flour off the shelf, still staring at each other.
"No really, I've got it. I may not be able to do my hair properly, but I can do this."
"Why are you always so stubborn?" questioned Suki.
"Because I know you like it," replied Yue with a smirk, leaning close to the other girl's face.
"Mmm yes I do," she whispered as her mouth met Yue's, her tongue slipping into her mouth.
Suki took her hands off the flour and moved them to the princess's waist, drawing her closer to her. When they finally pulled away, Suki rested her forehead on Yue's.
"I love you," she breathed.
"And I love you too," Yue returned. "And you want to know something else? I now have the flour and you don't." She pulled away from the other just enough to tauntingly wave the bag of flour in front of Suki's face while smirking.
Suki made one wild snatch to get the flour back, but Yue was too quick and was already hurrying to the other side of the kitchen. They glared at each other for a few seconds before laughing.
"Alright, you win this round, but let's see who does your hair next time you can't handle it," laughed Suki as she moved to the other side of the kitchen next to her lover. "Now let's make us some breakfast and we'll have more fun later," as she gave Yue's waist a quick squeeze.
Yue smiled. All was right and she was happy.
