Moving on... Sort of: Preface
A lot has changed after Arnold, Helga, and Gerald saved the neighborhood. Arnold didn't speak to Helga for a while. And when he did he didn't have the same feeling for her like she had for him. The rejection was too much to bear. With tears in her eyes, she ran. Only for Arnold to shout, 'I'm sorry' to her fleeting figure.
Time passed on, school started and the gang started 5th grade in the same class they had the year before. Arnold feared that with his rejection, Helga's bulling will be worse. So when she walked into the room (without her pink bow) he only feared the worse. But as the day progressed nothing happened. No pranks, spit balls, or name calling. She as so much never looked his way. Somehow word got out that Helga had confessed to Arnold during lunch and started teasing Helga about it.
Before Arnold or Helga could defend themselves, Sid walked to Helga's side and told everybody to lay off and mind their own business. Ever since then they have been in separable ever since. Then in the 6th grade they started going out.
In the 7th grade Lila finally agreed to go out with Arnold. Also jumping the dating scene Gerald finally got the courage to ask Phoebe out.
The gang are now juniors at Hillwood High School and everyone is still friends with each other like they were in 4th grade. Arnold grew into his head and was lean and muscular. Gerald shaved his massive fro and was the captain of the basketball team.
Lila grew in a curvy young woman with her auburn hair falling past her shoulders. Phoebe was still the school genius and Helga's best friend. She only grew up to 5'3'' with her hair still in a bob and ditching the glasses.
Sid traded the boots and hat for converse and a beanie. And Helga was lean and slender. Waxing her eyebrows after she started going out with Sid, an let her wavy blond hair down that reach all the way down to her back.
Things seemed to move on quite peacefully. But something always nagged at the back of Arnolds mind….
