Disclaimer: Obviously, I don't own Harry Potter or any of the characters…

Remus wasn't what you would call a chic magnet. His thin brown hair and glasses helped him get made fun of everywhere, even Hogwarts. It was the year 1992, the second year that Remus attended the school of witchcraft and wizardry. He always felt lonely, and it felt like his whole life revolved around the day that he was bitten by Greyback. He was always dreading the day of the month that forced him to go to the Shrieking Shack.

"Remus, what classes did you choose this year?" One of his best friends, Sirius Black, asked.

"I thought that Care of Magical Creatures would be easy, so I have that one and Divination." Sirius snickered.

"You chose Divination? With that crazy hag?"

Remus actually thought it would be an interesting class, but he covered that up with a little lie, "Who knows? Maybe it will be entertaining to watch her freak out during class." A clap on his back told him that James had arrived.

"Come on guys, let's get to class." They all made fun of classmates as they walked down the corridor on their way to Transfiguration. One of them in particular was Lily Evans.

"I heard that she fancies Severus Snape! Who would ever fancy such an idiot?" James said a little too loudly.

Lily turned on her heels and stared straight at James. "Why would you ever listen to such a stupid rumor? I don't fancy anyone as a matter of fact!" And with a little sigh, she turned around and walked as fast as she could.

"Woah, what is her problem?" They all snickered and continued to class without thinking much about it.

Transfiguration was just as frustrating as ever, as they tried to turn a pencil into a garden snake. "I could only get the tongue!"

"How is that ever going to be useful?" Sirius and Remus exchanged.

When they got to their dormitory, Remus made up a typical lie to excuse himself to the Shrieking Shack. "I better get going, I need to get home to see my mother, she's sick again." He began to back a backpack with useless things that he would dump on his way out.

"That's the fourth time this year!" Peter Pettigrew chimed in.

"Yeah, it comes and goes." He said, looking at his feet and putting the backpack over his shoulders.

Just when he got to the door to leave, Sirius said, "Whatever guys. Just leave him alone." By now, they knew he was hiding something.

Please review this story! Even if you just say, "Good job." Or something short like that, it at least tells me that you read and enjoyed the story, and that is the only reason I write this stuff. If I don't get any reviews, I don't want to waste my time writing another chapter, so PLEASE review! :)

I will update this soon though! Sorry it is so short!
