Birth Announcement

Summary: The announcement of Nichole Stokes.

A/N: Response to Fan Fic 100 challenge over at CSI Fans. Topic number .029 on the list; birth.

Sara turned the newspaper to the announcements and obituary section. She spotted a name to one of the victims to one of her previous cases. She moved on to the engagement announcements and then to the birth announcements.

'Nicholas Stokes and Sara Stokes, of Las Vegas, N.V., are announcing the birth of their daughter, Nichole Caroline Stokes. Nichole was born May 27, 2007 at 2:30pm at 22 inches and 6lbs 5oz. The happy healthy baby left for home on May 29, 2007 and is both parents first child. Congratulations to the Stokes from The Strip News.' She read.

"Look Nikki," she whispered to the newborn baby in her arms, "That's you. Yeah."

"Is it in there?" Nick asked entering the kitchen with a towel around his waist.

"Yup. Right here." Sara pointed. Nick went and got some scissors from the miscellaneous drawer.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"Cutting it out and putting it on the fridge," he replied. Sara laughed.

"What's so funny?" asked carefully putting a magnet over it.

Sara stared at him, he was in nothing but the towel that was wrapped around his waist and he looked like a second grader who had gotten their first "A".

"Nick, you're in a towel in the middle of the kitchen and you just cut out you're daughter's birth announcement and now you look like you want me to throw you a Scooby Snack."

"Well, I have a new beautiful baby girl and a beautiful wife. What other expression would I have?" He walked to her and kissed her on the forehead, then looked down at his peaceful daughter.

Sara smiled down at her daughter also.

"We did a great job," Nick said.

Sara laughed, "Yup. We did."

"I love you baby." Nicks gently kissed his daughter on the forehead, "I love you babe." He kissed Sara on the cheek.

"I love you." Sara kissed him on the cheek indicating the kiss was from Nichole, "I love you." Then she kissed him on the lips. "And I love you." She kissed Nichole on the cheek.

They were the beginning of their loving family.
