A/N: and so this is me, at the tired end of nearly a day and a half of a migraine that completely knocked me off of my ass. it's all angst, no fluff, it's life, and i hope it's good.
Washing lies completely
The sheets around her shoulders, clinging and yet falling, showing her she's here. Showing her she's still alive. The cream colored sheets, once new and tight, now old and soft. Her knees up to her chest, her chin upon her knees, arms around her lower legs. One more day has come, and she is all that's left.
Waking for illusion
Dreams that keep her tired. Whispers from his mouth, wanting her forgiveness. Everything has been, and will not be again. Love she had not known, until the very end. A hate she could not feel, even as she cried. Her father lost she has seen. Dying on the floor. Laying in the blood, of his own past mistakes.
Wishing lonely thoughts
She can not go back. She is now still stuck. Nothing left for her, everything a blur. Hopes she had always shielded, withered in one night. Holding her dear brother, before he said goodbye. Tears falling slowly, never more sincere, as when she rocked him close, as he was no longer here. Nothing left to care.
Weathering the dawn
Almost she was lost. On the brink she'd been. All her life before her, gone in one short blink. No one knows her pain. They can not hold her close. She has been to death and back, paying for their sins. Family that deceived, love that always flowed, hurt that stays supreme. Dying slowly, in darkness sublime.
Without voices close
Pain too much to bear, making her so cold, keeping everyone away, so she can try to heal. Eyes looking down upon her, wherever she may go. Their worried thoughts, a whisper on its way. They try to keep her here, they love her, this she knows. Sometimes, though, it's not enough to know a woe.
Whispers fading darkly
Sunlight filtering through the thinly veiled clear windows. Dark becoming light, treading here too softly. A mumble in his sleep, a turning of his head. Cream colored sheet above his now bare wide back, rising with his breath. A smile as dark as hers, hiding in the pillow. A pain as deep as hers, hiding there below.
Wondering no more
Lying herself down, watching as he sleeps. A hand to trace his back, reminding her of life. Warmth where once there was cold, hope when there was none, strength when she had none. Morning after love, no remorse within her veins. Time has come too fast, and here she will remain, as long as he is there.
Wanting nothing else
Past few days have shown her, she has been too scared. Living without breathing, loving without knowing, leaving without trying. A friend was what he was. A friend he always will be. Regrets she will not have. He is what she wants. He is what she needs. Leave behind the science to finally show the real.
Waiting all along
Eyes heavy still with sleep, a smile crossing just so briefly. His hand upon her cheek, resting on her knees, reminding her to breathe. Without a silent word, she rests her body closer, needing all his warmth, finding it so quickly. Time is what he gives her, a kiss upon her brow, waiting for all of her now.
