It was three years after Kagome had first jumped into the well. But that Kagome was totally different than this Kagome though she acted the same on the out side. That Kagome was sweet and made out of kindness inside out. This Kagome on the other hand was an emotion less girl who either wanted revenge or at least wanted the freedom to go back and get herself a new life (She can still cross the well). Though I really wouldn't blame her. In these three years the kind hearted girl had gotten 2 heart breaks in the feudal era and both her boys cheated on her.
Then there was Bella who had been dumped by Edward. Even though the Cullen's were surprised they said nothing in it. Both Alice and Rosalie missed Bella immensely and after moving away and coming back they had imagined Edward would marry her.
I know you have a question for me. How do these girls connect? Well… well you'll see. You'll see the game fate is going to play with these two girls. Got to go, my mom's walking this way if she finds out the game I'm helping fate play she'll destroy it. After all she is the Goddess of destruction. Oops! Too much info.
