a/n: I don't own any characters. This is just a short fanfic about Sly and Carm at a orphanage. Carm discorvers who her real friend is.

It was a bright sunny day. The orphans left the orphanage to play outside. It was nice weather outside, the sunny was beaming down on their small young faces. Laughing, giggling the children played tagged, catched, and even swung on the swings. A young raccoon boy was sitting on a long looking down at his toes as everyone else was having a good time. He hated recess at the orphanage. No one wants to play with him, he asked some boys if he could catch with them, but all they told him was to go away. It was hard for him to have friends. But then, this new girl came, named Carmelita. She is really cute. Big brown eyes, a cute smile, pink flushed cheeks, and a small and young body and a fluffy fox tail. She wears a pink shirt almost everyday and a blue jean skirt that comes to her small knee. She is eight, just like him. They have the same interest. He likes softball, she likes softball. She likes coloring, he likes coloring. But when she started to become friends ton the other girls at the orphanage they hanged out less and less; like she was forgetting about him. He hates being forgotten about.

The raccoon child looked around looking for Carmelita. She's not here. Just the rest of the kids playing. He then saw the girls Carmelita started to hang out with, they were without her. What is going on? he thought to himself. He went over there and the three girls looked at him.

"Yes Sly?" the panda girl asked first, her name is Jessica.

"Why isn't Carmelita with you guys? Isn't she your new best friend?" Sly asked cutely. He's kiddish voice was high pitched, yet adorable.

"Nope!" Rachelle the cat said, "She told us that she made me a necklace for me but ended up it was for someone else!"

"Who?"

"I don't know! Go away!" Rachelle yelled at the kid raccoon boy.

Sly nodded, use to the disrespect her gets a lot from other kids, and leaves to his sad place again. He wondered why? Those were Carmelita's friends. Why didn't she give her the necklace? She said she was going to. Maybe, she changed her mind. Maybe she has a new friend.

Everyone ate their dinner, now everyone is getting ready for bed. Brushing their teeth, changing into pajamas, reading a book before bed. Sly was in his room reading his favorite book of all time when he heard a gentle knock on the door and the door opening. He turned his head to look to see who it was. It was Carmelita in her purple night gown. Her curly, blue, long hair tangled up in a ponytail. She looked so cute.

"Hi Sly, umm whadda doing?" she asked as she slowly walked to him and sat next to him.

Sly shrugged, "reading a book. I heard you got in a argument with your...friends."

Carmelita bobed her head, "Yeah I did. I don't like em anymore."

"Then...why did you hang out with them more than me?"

The small fox paused little, nervous to answer but she has to tell the truth. "Well I needed friends that are girls. I guess...I guess I got kinda carried away. I'm sorry. I found out something though."

Sly nods, "Like what, Carmelita?"

"Well did Rachelle told you about the necklace I was making for her, but I changed my mind and never gave it to her?"

Sly smiply nodded.

"Well I made it for someone else. My other friend," the vixen child spoke and held out the necklace. It had blue beading around it, with a pattern of yellow beads. "I made it for you Sly, you're my true best friend," Carmelita told him as her face flushed.

Sly smiled, his face blushed. He loved the necklace that his best friend made for him. "Best friends forever," he said as he picks up the necklace and put it on.
