A/N: The posting of this fic is mostly because of Bleargh!, who reviewed on another of my fics asking for a happier story for the Saïx/Demyx pairing. I had already written this up, but wasn't planning on posting it…Leave it to my reviewers to encourage me. I hope that if you're out there reading this, Bleargh!, that you enjoy it.
Warnings: This fic contains shonen-ai/yaoi, meaning boy/boy relationships. Don't like it, don't read. Also, beware the supreme crack, and definitely some OOCness on Saïx's part. I tried, but hey, it's hard to write him in a happy role. Any flames will be used to toast marshmallows, or given to my pyromaniac sister – she loves playing with them.
Disclaimer: I do not own Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, or Kingdom Hearts 2, nor any of the characters, plots or themes therein. I am simply authoring this story for the pleasure of writing.

"What was your first impression of me, Demyx?"
The voice spoke in its usual soft monotone, yet there was an edge of warm curiosity that wasn't normally heard from its owner in the words.
Looking up from his place strewn rather haphazardly across Saïx's lap, the blonde being addressed blinked for a moment in surprise, then fell into a ponderous silence.
"When I first met you…" Demyx began, tapping his chin with one slim finger in time to the drawn-out words. "…Huh. Do you really want to know?"
His lover's eyebrows twitched slightly. "I thought you knew me well enough to know that I don't ask questions if I don't want to hear the answers." Seeing the mildly bemused expression on the other's face, Saïx added, "In case you were wondering, I mean yes."
Demyx chuckled lightly, examining a delicate hand in mock disinterest for another moment before speaking.
"Okay," the blonde teased. "But remember, you asked…When I met you, I honestly thought you were planning to kill me and devour my brain. Something to that effect, anyway."
A long moment of silence passed between them, as Saïx stared down at the man on his lap with a mixture of surprise and amusement written across his face.
"You asked," Demyx reminded him, thoroughly entertained by the unusual expression--one that truthfully did not resemble one he'd ever seen before--that was gracing the other's features. "And since you started it, what was your first impression of me?"
By this point, Saïx was chuckling softly, and had to wait a moment before he was able to properly reply.
"Honestly?" he asked rhetorically, one hand tangling itself in the younger Nobody's blonde locks. "I thought you were the type whose brain didn't merit devouring."
Demyx's lower lip quickly jutted out in a pout. "Do you still think that?" he inquired with a child-like innocence, reaching a hand of his own up to twine his fingers with the other man's.
"No, love," Saïx assured him, squeezing the hand fondly. "I've learned better now." He then leaned over and gave his lover a quick peck on the cheek.
Demyx smiled--consequently reminding the older man just how much he loved that smile--and nodded approvingly.
Another moment of comfortable silence passed, Saïx running his hand soothingly through the other's hair. It was Demyx who spoke again first, this time an amused expression on his face.
"Does that mean you'd devour my brain now?" the blonde asked, already giggling through his words.
The laughter that followed from both was unexpected, yet proved to be a happy sound, indeed.
