It was a man. A tall man. A really unusual tall man. He stood there and stared at me, with his featureless face and wore a black suit that hid the horror of his extra limbs.

I stared back and prayed for him to spare me, but then he started to slowly walk up to me.

One step at a time and I felt tears of fear dwell up my eyes. This was it. This was the end of the line. I came into the woods to collect the 8 pages that regarded a man who would snatch people away if their dare entered the woods. But it wasn't any old wood, this was his wood. This was his home which many people have disturbed and ended up becoming his victim because they entered his land.

He was getting closer and closer. His long arms dropped down at his sides, his blank face watching me as his tentacles exposed themselves from behind his back and withered them in the air. I wanted to run but my legs were frozen. I was backed up against this tall tree which I sunk my nails into, gripping onto the bark as I wait to accept my fate. I never meant to disturb his home, I only wanted to found out if the legend was true and now that I realise it, it may have just costed my life.

He is now stood in front of me, appearing much taller now that his is close to me. I look up to his blank face that was staring down at me, his extra limbs floating in the air. I look away and my tears fall as I close my eyes. I feel a cold but yet gentle hand lift up my chin. He is forcing me to look at him. I find myself staring at his face and I bite my lip as more tears cascade down my face. I am scared that ever. I never expected for something like this to cost me my life. I only wanted to find out why so many people vanished when they entered the woods, now I know why.

I roll my eyes to the floor as a stray tear rolls down my cheek and without thinking, the tall man wipes it away with his thumb. I look back up at him and gulp. Why was this dangerous man being so gentle with me? I watched as his tentacles floated in the air and I noticed one was missing, but then I felt something wrapping itself around my neck. He was strangling me. I didn't bother to scream or shout for help as nobody would hear me.

I started crying as I gasped for air, clinging onto the last few breaths I had left. The tall man tided me to the tree with his tentacles while watching me struggle to breath. I fixed eyes on his face. ''You brought this on yourself.'' His distorted voice was last thing I knew I would ever hear. He wiped my eyes with his thumb as I began to lose consciousness. This is it. I had to accept my fate.

My eyes started to close as I breathed last, I would have nothing but the darkness to keep company and the last thing I will always remember is his face.

I knew from that moment someone else would have to be brave and collect the pages.

Collect all the 8 pages to defeat this man.

If you dare.
