Molly had always had some morbid obsession with death as a girl, her mother would constantly tell her off for the things she would watch late on TV or the books she would read from the library "they're not suitable for a young lady" She'd tell then order her to her room where Molly had a stash of books she could hide in. It was the concept that something so complex and wonderful could be stopped in so many ways, it fascinated her. Molly would sit up some nights watching episode after episode of a Crime Drama, just to see the different creative ways they could kill the latest victim. It was a biology teacher in school who had told her to think about going to medical profession. The idea of being a doctor pleased her and her mother (she could boast about her daughter the doctor), so she did it. She got her A levels in the science's, all at A or above then off she went to Medical School.

5 years flew by and soon she graduated with her Medical degree and began her 2 years of foundation work. During these 2 years she found out about becoming a pathologist, once her 2 years were up she could apply for a trainee position. She did, passed her interview and started her training at Bartholomew Hospital. Everyday she skipped into work, got to sit and unravel to mystery of someone's death. Molly remembers her first murder victim, a young man stabbed while on his way home from uni evening, the next was a woman suffocated by a yellow blanket, they all started the blur then. Before Molly knew it she was working full time as a fully qualified pathologist and then Sherlock entered her world. He strolled in one way Lestrade following behind like a lost puppy and demanded to see the body of a elderly man brought in that morning, she was about to protest when he smiled at her "please" she's been putty in his hands ever since.

Dr Molly Hooper, Pathologist at Bartholomew Hospital and hopelessly in love with Sherlock Holmes.
