Year 1, Spring 3rd, Wed
Joey just inherited his grandpa's farm. Today is his first day on Galalai farm. He wakes up early, eats a pastry and goes outside. Some short guy with a red suit and hat is waiting there.
Mayor: Nice to meet you I'm the mayor. I'm sure you have lots of questions. Shall I show you around the village?
Joey nods and follows the mayor as he shows him around town and tells him about how things work in Flower Bud Village. When the tour is done he goes back to his farm, and finds a large muscular man waiting for him. Thinking that he's going to be beat up, he stands there listening to the man blabbering on. Something about buying vegetables and shipping. Joey has the attention span of a chipmunk so he wasn't exactly paying attention to what the man was saying. The shipper eventually left.
Joey: Well, that was boring. Now for some fun!
He looks to his left, then his right.
Joey: WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
Joey runs in circles until he falls over with exhaustion. Then he rolls like a log out the gate and into the road. He stands up and brushes the dirt from his clothes. He looks to the path on his right.
Joey: Where does this lead to again? I wasn't paying attention.
He stands there for a while thinking.
Joey: Oh well!
He walks up the path to the mountain not knowing where he was going.
Joey: Now, I know there's a bar up here somewhere. I was paying attention for that part.
He stands on the bridge looking into the new landscape.
Joey: WOW!
He looks around at the flowery scene. A pond in the back by the mountain path. A river on the left. Joey looks psyched as he bounds into the area. He runs up to a man sitting by the pond fishing.
Joey: How do you get your hair that white?
Greg: I'm old.
Joey: Like, how old?
Greg: Don't you have chores to do?
Joey: Nope.
Greg: Well, um.. Have a fishing pole.
Joey: Cool! You mean it? I can have it?
Greg: Sure! (If it gets you out of my hair.)
Joey: Wow! I got a fishing pole and a friend all in the same day!
Greg: Ok, you just go to the other side of the pond and quit bothe---er..I mean, and try your new pole out.
Joey skips merrily to the other side of the pond humming to himself. He casts the line and waits and waits and waits. The bobber eventually wiggles as a sign he caught a fish.
Joey: Ahhh! Why is it moving?
Greg: That means you caught a fish. Pull the line up.
Joey pulls the line up but there's no fish.
Joey: I thought you said I caught a fish.
Greg: You waited too long to release the B button.
Joey: Oh...... I'm bored. C-ya later.
Joey wandered off and took the path that lead up the mountain.
Joey: Ooh look! A random stump!
He continued up the mountain, and got to the top.
Joey: Ahh! Three random stumps! I'm going to chop them down.
After Joey chops the stumps he looks around.
Joey: There's nothing up here but some trees. And why did the happy music suddenly stop?
The day fades away and it becomes dark.
Joey: Um. I guess I should go home.
He goes down the mountain and chops down the other random stump along the way. He laughs evilly. He gets back to the farm, picks up his dog, Woof, and goes into the house. He puts the dog down and looks at it.
Joey: Guess what, woof? I made a new friend.
Woof just looks at Joey, then sniffs the air.
Joey: You have to meet him someday.
Woof lifts his leg and pees on the floor.
Joey: Eww. I'll have to clean that in the morning. Goodnight, woof.
Joey goes to his bed writes in his diary and goes to sleep.
