As he regained consciousness, he first noticed how quiet things were. Then, as he opened his eyes, he noticed that he was somehow brought back to the ship after his fight with Blackbeard. Then, as he groggily got up, he heard a scream. He jumped awake and ran for the door, albeit slow due to the extreme amount of bandages he had on making him look like a mummy.
As he walked out of the infirmary, he squinted in the sun to see what was going on. He saw nothing and then he heard another scream, the voice same. He ran to the edge to see what was going on, not noticing that the ship was completely empty. As he peered over the banister at the docks and the town beyond, he noticed two things, one: the sun is setting and the color is the same orange as Nami s hair, two: Blackbeard isn t dead yet.
He then saw the entire scene before him with the crew completely beaten and it appeared that most of them didn't even seemed to be breathing. Sanji, Zoro, Robin, and Chopper were all in a pile as if they were just lumps meat. Franky was slumped against a wall with his arms and legs broken with bits of metal and wiring all over the place. Brook was in a bunch of pieces across the entire road. Usopp was scrunched up, in a pool of blood.
As he looked back at Blackbeard, he saw him holding her. He screamed and ran at him trying to save at least one of his crewmembers. Yet, when he only just took a step, all of his wounds reopened and he fell on the ground. He opened his eyes to see that blackbeard was laughin at him with hei in his right hand, unconscious, over the sea. If he let go, she would drown and die. Luffy, in death s grasp, noticed that Nami wasn t completely white, she was alive, barely.
Then Blackbeard threw her into the air and pu nch her with all his might, landing in the ocean. Luffy cried and cried and cried. if only he could get up, he would try to save her but now she is long gone. As Blackbeard laughs and walk towards him, Luffy begins to lose consciousness as the blood continues to come out in large amounts. Luffy last thoughts before dying was that he couldn t protect his wife, Nami, that he couldn t find One Piece, and that the Strawhat would never get back to Shanks.
