Moments of Peace

By Bone Structure

Ron wrapped his arm around Kim, gently leaning into her as they watched a scary late night movie. He knew she wasn't into it, but he was so into her that it almost didn't matter. He wanted her, and that want turned into selfishness.

"I'm going to the bathroom," Kim announced, escaping the capture of Ron's limbs.

Shego sat on the countertop of Kim's sink, filing away her nails.

"Can you pass me my towel?" Kim asked from behind the shower curtain.

"Nope."

Kim gave Shego a dirty look as she wrung excess water from her hair.

"What's that look for? I have the right to not pass you anything. This is America, after all."

"Oh, shut up!" Kim rolled her eyes and went over to reach for a towel, only to have her hand grabbed by a certain green villain.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Um, getting the towel you so rudely denied me?"

"And why do you think I denied you the towel, Princess?"

"Because you're ill-mannered?" There was genuine confusion in Kim's voice.

"No, because I want you wet."

Shego hopped off of the counter, and held Kim against the shower wall. She divided Kim's legs with her thigh and pressed until she could hear Kim's breathing quicken, along with a small, "Oh!"

Kim came back from the bathroom, and sat back down next to Ron. The inches she left between them were unintentional.

"Kim?"

"Yea, Ron?"

"Do you love me?"

Kim couldn't lie, and yet she had been lying. The whole relationship had been a lie. Every moment spent with him since Prom had been a sham.

"Please don't make me answer."

"You need to, Kim."

"I don't."

And suddenly there was a moment of peace.
