How they met…
"PLEASE BIG BROTHER!"
Byakuya sighed as rukia gave him the puppy eyes look he could never resist, although he would never believe that.
"Rukia I'm very busy and I don't have time…"
He watched rukias eyes well up with tears and he frowned.
Byakuya thought about his options…well for one rukia would shut up, but what if someone saw him with the vile furry creature…sigh he would have to suck this one up…
"Fine rukia I will take…chappy to the vets. Now go to school, your going to be late"
Her tears instantly disappeared she gave him a big hug and smiled. "Thank you brother! Bye!"
He looked at the rabbit and groaned in annoyance, he hated going to the vets, that's why he always had rukias friend, Ichigo take the rabbit.
He quickly loaded the rabbit into its carrier and placed him in his car. He got in his car and buckled his seat belt. "ugh better get this over with…" he muttered quietly.
"Hello sir? How may I help you?"
"…The rabbit is not feeling well…I'm here for my little sister" he added quickly, "its not my rabbit!" he blurted out slightly embarrassed. The receptionist wasn't fazed at all.
"okay can I have your name and the rabbits please?"
"Byakuya Kuchiki, and…chappy"
"Pardon?"
He sighed "its name is chappy"
He heard her giggle a bit as she wrote the information down. "Alright Mr. Abarai will be with you in a min."
He sat down in one of the many chairs and sighed in annoyance while staring at the rabbit.
"Be lucky my sister loves you so much"
"Mr. Kuchiki! The doctor will see you no-"
"Its alright unohana ive got this"
Byakuya looked up and his eyes widened slightly. The vet had wild vibrant red hair that was pulled back into a pony tail. He was very attractive Byakuya had to admit. His tribal tattoos caught him in a trance.
"Hey you can come in now"
Byakuya had to force himself from staring. "Oh" he grabbed chappys carrier and walked into the office.
"Alright, lets get a look at her."
He watched as he gently picked up the rabbit.
"How old is she?"
"Um...Around 3 I think."
He continued to study the rabbit. "Has she gotten out lately?"
"Yes, just a month ago she got out. Luckily we found her safe and sound in the back yard."
He chuckled and gently stroked the rabbits fur. "Well shes pregnant"
Byakuyas eyes widened. "WHAT! Oh damnit…more furry beasts will be in the house now?" he yelled
He quickly realized what he had said and he felt his face heat up slightly. He heard the vet laugh.
"Excuse me Mr-"
"Its Renji and wow I thought you were all prim and proper."
He made no move to reply and he watched Renji put the rabbit back in its cage.
"Renji…how would you know if I was prim and proper?"
He saw Renji sigh as he stood in deep thought. "Well I don't know, I mean you give off this air of being that way. The way your dress and talk. Although its not a bad thing."
"Oh thank you. I think."
He grabbed chappys carrier and left the office to talk to unohana.
Once the business was taken care of he turned to leave.
"Oh Mr. Kuchiki!"
"Yes Renji?"
He saw Renji smirk. "Don't forget to bring her in for a checkup alright? Should I give you my number in case something goes wrong?"
Was Renji hitting on him? Its not like he minded…did he?
"…I don't see why not"
He saw Renji smile slightly as he wrote his number down on a small piece of paper.
