Author's Note: This is an idea I had tried to work out for awhile. But now, I have a way to do this. An AU where Sonic first meets the Avengers. So...here we go! I don't own Sonic the Hedgehog or the Avengers, they belong to Sega and Marvel respectively. Also, please note this story features OC's. Please read and review if you like it!

Chapter One: Hedgehog's and Emeralds

Earth, Forest

Earth, a wonderous place, filled with wonderful creatures. The forest, an equally exquisite location. However, on this day, two Shield soldiers walked through the forest with pistols in hands. Their names are Charlotte, and John. As they journeyed forward, searching for some disturbance, John was having...minor complaints.

"Ok...we're now searching, in a DAMN forest!" John complained.

Charlotte rolled her eyes. "John, get a hold of yourself. We have to find the disturbance and report back to Commander Fury." It was John's turn to roll his eyes.

"Yeah...a bug infested forest," he practically whined. Out of nowhere a blue blur zoomed by. "Did you see that!?" John asked in shock.

"Yeah," Charlotte replied cocking the pistol, "I did..."

Mysterious Workshop

The workshop belonged to a genius. During their stay in this new location, the inventor built some unique creations. One of which a small plane called the Tornado. As the figure stood staring out the window, another figure sighed. "Tails, for the hundredth time, he's fine!"

"I know! I just hope he's gonna be ok," the figure known as Tails said. "What do you think Knuckles?"

"I'm just here searching for the Emeralds, that's all," Knuckles replied. "Say, do you have a location on one of them?"

Tails shook his head. "Not yet, but I haven't given up. However, Earth is bigger than Mobius.

Forest

Charlotte had her gun held out in front of her, as she was still searching for the disturbance with John. However, she flinched when she saw a...creature of sorts. "What the-It's...it's a-" she was cut off by the figure turning around. The creature was blue with green eyes.

"First of all, I'm a he. Second, I'm Sonic...Sonic the Hedgehog."

John smiled in wonder. "Nice to meet you," with that he pulled out a pair of handcuffs. "You're coming with us."

"Sure," Sonic replied with a cheeky grin. Charlotte raised an eyebrow and John stepped back in surprise.

"Just like that?" Charlotte asked disbelieving.

"Yep," Sonic continued before saying, "you just gotta catch me first!" and ran off.

Charlotte sighed and glared at John. "What?" John inquired innocently. Charlotte just sighed once more.

"John...remind me to NEVER bring you on a mission again."

Helicarrier, Computer Room

Nick Fury was a good man. He was also many other things, but patient was not one of them. As he sighed heavily staring at a computer, he said, "Where the hell is Robotnik? He's the only expert on this stuff."

Out of nowhere a man walked in. He was dressed in red, but his two defining features were his goggles and big bushy mustache. "I'm right here. How may I be of service?" he asked with a grin.

Nick Fury sighed. "Do you know what we're dealing with?" he demanded.

Robotnik smiled and replied, "They are some kind of aliens from a planet outside of our solar system. A planet called Mobius. They refer to themselves as Mobians. But I would be careful...they are fairly tricky creatures."

Fury nodded and said, "Thanks for the input Doctor."

"It's my pleasure," Robotnik said with a nod. At that moment a voice was heard over Fury's wrist communicator. "What is it?" he demanded.

"Some kind of hedgehog," Charlotte's voice said. "Called himself Sonic."

Fury nodded despite Charlotte not being able to see him and said, "I see. Come back to base. You're never going to believe this."

"Affirmative," John said as well.

Fury was about to leave the room but then said, "Robotnik. I require your services elsewhere...there's something I need you to see. Maybe you can provide more details."
