As Mal walked down the aisle on Evie's wedding day, she caught Bens eye, and felt a stab of pain shoot through her heart. She and Ben had fought the day before. It was kind of stupid, but he was being clingy and she was sick of it. As Evie made it to the alter and everyone smiled and clapped, Mal felt her break in two and wanting nothing more than to run from her place next Evie into Bens arms and kiss him, the idiot. She loved him, as much as it was embarrassing to admit it, she did. Suddenly she was broken from her reverie by cheers and she realized that Evie and Doug had just kissed. She began to clap along. Fifteen minutes later she was making a toast to Evie and Doug, making sure he knew that if he hurt her he would pay. She ran over to the couple to hug them and felt someone tap her shoulder, causing her to whirl around. It was ben. "Hey" "hi" she felt like crying. All he had to do was look at her and she felt like collapsing. "I got you something" he said, holding out a small box toward her, smiling gently. nervously, she took it and opened it. Inside was a beautifully carved locket, she opened it up and gasped. Inside was a picture of the two of them smiling at the camera."I love you" was all he needed to say.
