When Harry Met Coulson

A/N: Just a humorous little one-shot on Harry's meeting with Coulson. Next will be the football game.
It was Harry's third day with the Avengers and everything had been going well. He was getting settled into life in the tower. He hadn't even needed to take the potion that kept him from getting edgy. He had mapped out the tower quite well. Exploring at various times during the night when he had trouble falling asleep. He knew several exits and hiding places should he need them.
Harry sat on the couch skimming through a pamphlet from Quality Quodpot & Quidditch which was handily disguised as a muggle brochure. He looked up as he heard the elevator ding as did Tony who had been lurking near the kitchen door.
Harry examined the new guest over his pamphlet. The man looked relatively ordinary with short brown hair and blue eyes. The man was slightly shorter than Tony and carried himself with ease. He looked like someone who spent his time in an office yet his stance spoke of a fighter. Harry eyed the man warily from behind his brochure as he wondered who he was.
"Well if it isn't agent zombie," snarked Tony, as he saw the new arrival.
"Do you eat brains?" asked Harry wryly, getting up and inserting himself into the conversation. He may not know the new arrival but he was not about to leave the man alone with Tony. No one deserved that. Though Harry made sure to keep distance between himself and the new arrival.
"No" replied Coulson shortly.
Harry knew that Coulson thought he was being mocked. He grinned slightly as he asked his next question, "Well if you did would you eat Tony's?"
Tony spluttered indignantly.
"No I wouldn't want the indigestion," answered Coulson, the corners of his eyes crinkled and his mouth quirked upwards slightly.
"You're probably right." agreed Harry, he was rewarded with an indignant shout from Tony. Coulson walked a little closer and Harry thought the man wanted a proper introduction. Harry briefly enjoyed the fact he was able to introduce himself though he examined the new arrival once more. He closed the space between them a little so that they would be able to shake hands.
"I'm Harry Potter," said Harry who hesitated briefly then held out his hand.
"Agent Coulson, pleased to meet you" said Coulson as he shook Harry's hand.
A/N2: Look forward to some of SHIELD's secret files on various characters. And perhaps a deleted scene or two for example when I was doing the rewrite I ended up completely rewriting the part where Harry gets picked up from the airport. In the deleted scene a group of thugs with some heavy artillery take the airport hostage. Tony and Steve come to the rescue and Harry has his first encounter with the Avengers. In the end I decided to let the story stick more or less to what happened in the original version.
