Warnings: Slight innuendo.
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh. But if I did I would sure be one happy camper!
Ship: Toonshipping (Pegasus X Kaiba)
Seto Kaiba drummed his fingers on his oak desk, something he always did when he was thinking. It was a month after Battle City, yet he was still bitter about his loss to Yugi. Especially because it was his own tournament, he was supposed to win. Ever since that moment, he'd been brainstorming a way to defeat the spiky-haired midget. He reworked his deck, tweaking every bit of strategy until it was perfect. Yet he still lost to the Yugi-simulating duel bot. He analyzed every strategy possible in the entirety of Yugi's deck, and built his deck to counter. Yet he still always lost.
After a month, he realized that the only way to defeat Yugi was to obtain a card even more powerful than the gods. A card that would allow him an easy win against Yugi. But he know just how to get it.
Pegasus.
He would have to put aside every ounce of pride that he had, and ask Pegasus to make him such a card. He might have to beg, even, which may or may not be worth it...
"I can't believe this..." Kaiba muttered as he picked up the phone and, quite literally, punched in the number for the President of Industrial Illusions.
The other end was picked up. "Ooooh, Kaiba boy? Is that you calling?" Said a shrill voice.
Kaiba sighed, "Yes."
"Oh, how wonderful! I've been bored lately."
Kaiba rolled his eyes. "I'm calling for a card."
"I'm sorry, but I think you'll have a bit of trouble talking to one. They're not very good conversationists," he joked. Kaiba could almost feel the smile of the white-haired man on the other line.
"Very funny, Pegasus. I meant that I was going to ask you about a card."
"Ooooh, well in that case, fire away, Kaiba boy."
Kaiba's eye twitched. "I need you to make one for me. A powerful one that would allow me an easy win against Yugi."
"That's a pretty big stretch, Kaiba boy. I don't know if that would be fair to the other players," he smirked.
Kaiba sighed, "What do you want? I'll pay you whatever."
"Silly Kaiba, I don't want money. I'm practically rolling in it."
"Then what?" Kaiba barked, increasingly irritated.
"Let's use our indoor voices, shall we, Kaiba boy? I'm a very negotiable man."
'That you are...' Kaiba thought. "What do you want in return, then?"
"Hmmmm... Like I said, I've been bored. Cartoons just aren't like they used to be."
Kaiba's eyebrow raised. "Yeah, I'm listening."
"Well, I could sure use some company over here."
"What kind of company?"
"You know, the-"
"No." Kaiba said quickly.
"Come now, Kaiba boy, surely you can take just one day. After all, it's for a card that will no doubt render you unstoppable."
Kaiba growled, "No way would I degrade myself like that."
"Kaiba boy, Kaiba boy, it wouldn't be degrading if nobody knew. Just think of it, one night and you'll be on top of the world."
After a long pause, Kaiba muttered, "You're sure that the card will be powerful enough?"
"The effect will all but read 'You win the duel'," he said.
Kaiba growled, "Just one night," and then he hung up. "What have I agreed to..."
Hope you liked! This is the first Toonshipping I've actually written, and I find myself more attracted to the innuendo of the cliffhanger for this pairing. I don't know why. Feedback is appreciated!
