Criminals

The T.V. was turned to some news report, I wasn't really paying attention I was focusing on my map of Berlin, which was pretty hard since I don't understand German, when I suddenly heard the person on the news say something familiar. She said Dominic Toretto. I grabbed the remote and turned the English subtitles on.
"The elusive criminal wanted in 2 countries; Dominic Toretto has finally been arrested and is being transported to the jail Lompoc. He is sentenced to twenty-five years in prison, no chances of an early release. He was captured, while he helped reprimand a very big drug lord, named Braga and his right hand man Phoenix." I was no longer listening to the news anchor who was now talking about Braga's many crimes. I didn't need to, I was a part of them and anyway my mind was reeling. Dom was captured taking down Phoenix, the man who had supposedly killed me.
That meant he was killing Phoenix for me, he thought I was dead so he wanted to kill the reason I was dead. That didn't justify him for leaving me, but I wasn't letting him go to prison for me. I knew he was reckless but I had no idea he'd let himself get caught just to avenge my death.
The next day
In one day I was packed and ready to screw up my perfect cover to save the man I still begrudgingly loved with my life, when I heard the name Dominic Toretto on the news again. I looked up to see a flipped over bus on a highway and listened or read the news anchor's words yet again.
"Dominic Toretto escaped the bus moving him to prison at 9 a.m. this morning. He was helped by four allies consisting of his little sister Mia Toretto, ex-cop Brian O'Connor, and two of Dom's old team members that helped him pull heists in the Dominican Republic. The police are already searching for the culprit, if you have any information call this number."
I switched off the T.V. and smiled to myself. Dom's okay he's going to be a free man for another day. He'd better enjoy it, because when I'm able to blow my cover and go find him. He's a dead man.
