Scary
As Nick walked up the steps to his house one Friday after work he was in a great mood, he'd just solved his case and he had that night off from work, in addition to that Jackie had Friday off of work because the teachers had a four day weekend so Jackie had taken the kids to her parents house for the day so he and Jackie could have a fun day together. They might catch a movie, go to lunch, or walk around the Vegas Strip for a while.
He unlocked the door and stepped inside the house.
"Hi." He said cheerfully.
His face immediately fell when he saw Jackie on the couch.
"Honey what's wrong?" He asked alarmed as he noticed tears were streaming down her face.
He rushed over to her and put his arm around her.
"You know how I went to my doctor this morning for just a check up?"
"Yeah." He said, his heart began to beat faster.
"Well I have some bad news, she said I have a tumor on my uterus."
All of the color drained from Nick's face and his heart fell from his chest…
