Just hold on

Tears streamed down Nia's pale face. Her arms had now started to ache from the pain. She didn't know how long she could hold on to her friend for. All that ran through her head at this time was Don't let go, can let go. Nia looked into James' eyes. She could see no tears on his face but a sad worried expression.

"I can get you out of this James I CAN!" she screeched as she tried even harder to pull her friend from falling to his death. Nia looked down and saw the sharp rocks pocking out of the crashing waves that were at the bottom of the cliff...

"Nia the darkness will be back soon... My leg is Broken and I can help you get me up"

James paused in pain as he thought about his split open leg. Nia was now using all of her strength but to no avail James was still hanging off the edge of this cliff.

"Nia, look around you... All of those dark creasers to have killed will only attract more of them.. you need to get out of here"

Nia looked slowly around and looked in fear at all of the miss shaped dark creasers she had slain. fear struck her mind of the thought of how many she had just killed. Still in shock of the ambush of the darkness, Nia looked back down at James once again with her tearful blue eyes.

"I will not be able to fight them alone James.. I NEED YOU!" Nia screamed in fear. She started to panick even more now and once again tried to pull James up. With nothing for James to even place his only working leg on it was all up to Nia to pull him up. But Nia's strength was not grate enough to pull him up.

"Nia listen to me"

James said softly. But Nia ignored it. All her focus was on getting James off the cliff. Every time she failed she got more and more worked up, more tears would fill her eyes

"Nia!"

James said more louder. But she still did not listen

"NIA LOOK AT ME!"

Nia's attention was now looking into her best friends eyes. I was silent for that moment... But a distant shriek came from behind her.

"Nia, they are coming... You cant stay here you need to get back to the temple and tell you father that the darkness are going to attack his kingdom"

"I will not go without you James. You are our lands hero and... My best friend"

Nia was now flooding with tears as she looked into her friends dark green eyes

"Nia, my leg is broken I will not be able to fight and you only have just enough of your magic to teleport your self back home"

Nia shook her head in disagreement

"no James don't do it"

James gave her a serious but loving look

"...you have to let me go..."

"NO! I CANT DO THAT"

"Its not your choice to decide"

James said painfully. His leg was now dripping with blood and the pain got worse... James

"Promises me now you will go back once I am gone"

"..Jame.. no.. dont do this"

"PROMISE ME"

Nia nodded to him... James looked at her tears were now forming in his eyes. And a small smile came to his face

"Every day since I have grown up with you... I have always loved you"

James relisted his hands from Nia's. It all was happening in slow motion to Nia. As her friend fell to his death she kept her eyes fixed on his. And his to her eyes. As he fell there was a small smile on his face as he watched Nia.

"JAMES NOOO!"
