This is just a little poem I wrote since I'm completely obsessed with Phantom of the Opera. It's from Christine to Erik, lamenting her sorrow for him. This is my first published work so please be nice and review! ;

Learn to be lonely,

My cruel, wicked darling.

Learn to be lonely,

For when your sinful soul leaves this earth,

No one will notice,

No one will care.

Learn to be lonely,

My ignorant, damned angel.

A dark mask among the shadows,

The horrifying creature you are,

Who wallows

In agony and terror afar.

You'll never have a someone

You'll never share love,

All alone even when your life is done,

Never to be pure as so much as a dove.

Growing old in the darkness

Pitiful murderer you are,

Not more or less,

With that face forever scarred.

You live in another world,

With naught but a peek

Into ours, from which you are violently hurled

Never finding that which you seek.

So, learn to be lonely,

My dear, misbegotten love.

Learn to be lonely,

For when your murky soul enters the void,

No one will notice,

No one will care.

Learn to be lonely,

My poor, fallen angel.
