Love could be told

by a simple vow

or even just a tiny, budding plant

Vash's fingers curled around the flower

only to be loosened slightly from the Edelweiss flower

as it was much more fragile

than his fingers were

"Thank you, Roderich."

It was a simple statement

almost told with out emotion

Little Roderich felt those accursed butterflies in his tummy again

"I-I think I love you."

The nervous murmur seemed even more fragile than the flower

The quick tilt of a head

and lips pressed to a cheek

Vash's cheeks turned pink as if frosted by the cold

or at least that was the only reason that young Roderich knew of

though his cheeks were tinted pink also

All was told in the simple Edelweiss flower

A promise for however long was possible

to be had by children as they grow
