The water felt cool on Seris's heated, pale skin, a fantastic reprieve after the grueling straining session he had just gone through with Gregor, Vaike and Lon'que. Laying on his back in the lake, nearby the encampment, the young man just let himself drift through the water, not really caring where it pulled him. It was a closed lake, fairly small, so there was no immediate danger, and for the first time in days, he allowed himself to relax, simply drifting and listening to the sounds of his wife "playing" with the wyvern, Minerva. Even before she had married him, Nowi had always spent quite a bit of time wrestling with the great beast, seeing as there was no one else that could possibly match her size and proportionate strength.

He still couldn't help but worry, listening to the roars of the two great beasts. He knew Nowi was tough, but the anxiety came with the wedding ring. He had always had the Shepherds, and Chrom to worry about, but now he had someone to protect, someone to love. Someone who he could truly relax with. But how was he supposed to react when his wife was screeching like that?

Pushing his worries out of his mind, Seris rolled over onto his toned stomach, and slowly began to swim back to shore, in the direction of the manakete and her wyvern friend. As he swam, an opportunity arose in his mind, an opportunity to avenge himself on his wife for the braid prank she had pulled days ago.

Cherche was watching over Minerva and Nowi, making sure the pair didn't actually hurt each other, dodging out of the way whenever they rolled her way. So when she saw the manakete's husband trudging up the hill towards them, she was a little concerned. She knew for a fact that the lean tactician knew enough to stay out of their way, but he kept advancing anyway.

When he was 5 feet from the pair, he waited for them to disengage from each other. The moment Nowi and Minerva were apart, he raise his bare arms, almost as if he was….

"Seris, what on earth are you doing?" Cheche stepped towards him in alarm.

The tactician didn't answer, instead looking at his wife, who had suddenly frozen in place, wings still outstretched. Her large eyes were locked on Seris, confusion and irritation evident, even in her dragon form. Walking up to her, Seris placed his hands on either side of her angular head, and gently kissed her on her long snout. The dragon's large eyes went wide as her husband walked away, a wide smile on his face.

Cherche couldn't help but giggle at the flabbergasted look on Nowi's long face, and at the fact that her face was a brighter shade of yellow than usual. It was the first time she had ever seen a dragon blush.
