Summary: Sometimes Tony feels really like Leia from Star Wars, of course, without the golden bikini.
Disclaimer: If NCIS were mine, the series would not have taken this direction. Furthermore, there would be less Tiva and more Tabby and/or Tibbs. Believe me.
A/N: Inspired by the one-shot "I know." of Spae, which I have translated. It's not very good, but I blame the fact that I wrote this in the middle of night because I couldn't sleep.
A big thank you to djmicheals for being such an amazing beta.

Sometimes ...
Sometimes ... Tony feels really like Leia from Star Wars.
Seriously!
Of course he doesn't have such horrible hair. Furthermore he has better clothes, but since Leia live in war times, she was forgiven. Also he would never ever wear a bikini. Really. No way. Well, maybe, if a certain someone asked ...
Tony shook his head quickly to get rid of the idea that the picture accompanied. This is really not the time for this!
So back to the topic and the current situation. He was AGAIN taken captive and waiting for his rescue. So far all his attempts to free himself had ended with a rearranged face. So he was waiting for his personal Han Solo to come rescue him, while he looked for a new way to escape.
Why it was always him that was in this situation again and again? Did he have 'easy victim' or 'willing victim' tattooed on his forehead? But just like Leia, he needed to forget asking such a question, grit his teeth, and hope for something to happen that he could use to aid himself.
Besides risk is part of his profession. He knew it when he enrolled in the police academy, although he hadn't thought that it would happened SO often to him, he thinks sighing.
Every time, every damn time something terrible happened to him, he wondered why he stayed. The job paid pretty damn badly, it got him a couple of damaged lungs, and every time a scumbag was release because of a judicial error or something similar he couldn't deny the thought that his work was meaningless.
He did get not even a fucking thank you! He hadn't chosen this profession because of the recognition, but sometimes ... He also need a little bit approval.
But as soon as these thoughts monopolize his head, they were pushed back. Because just as it was in Star Wars IV, the rescue is announced by a loud gunfight. Unlike Leia he isn't saved by Luke (perhaps McGee? He has the matching hair...), but from his personal Han and as he sees his little grin, he knows again why he is here, why he doesn't leave NCIS, why he endures all these damn events, and why he survives all of the crap.
Just like it was enough for Leia to hear a simple "I know." and to see a grin... It was sufficient for him to see a grin, to get a headslap, or to hear a simple "Atta Boy!" by Gibbs to know his place in the world.
End
