"How long," he growled.

His lips were set in a hard line, he wasn't breathing. I swallowed hard and took a minute to regain my thoughts. I choose to take those few minutes to burn his image into my memory before he leaves again.

Still the same Edward, a hundred years hasn't fazed him at all. He wore a green colored sweater (the color I imagine his eyes once were) that hugged his muscular form in all the right places; he had a pair of light blue jeans on that complimented the sweater well. Enough time had passed so I decided to answer his question. He wanted to know how long it had been since I had been turned and by who, even though he hadn't asked his eyes said it all.

"I was changed September 15th, 2007, two days after my nineteenth birthday, by Victoria. I let out a slow breath, his eyes went black and a growl erupted from deep within him.

"I knew it," Edward growled. "I tried Bella, you must know that." His eyes were pleading with me begging me to accept his answer.

"Edward," I paused, it didn't hurt to say his name anymore. "Edward," I began again, "Victoria would have found me sometime or another. I took a ragged breath, "you may not blame yourself for this."

"Bella," he was pleading with me again. "Bella, don't you see that if I hadn't left you she would have never gotten to you?"

"Edward, you didn't care for me anymore, if ever, it would have been wrong for both of our sakes for you to keep putting up an act just to keep me safe." I was fighting to keep back tears that would never come. Edward laughed at this statement, not his musical laugh, but more of a dark non humorous laugh.

"A hundred years, yet you still weren't able to see through my mask?" He was questioning me but I'm not sure what he was asking. I'm sure my face masked my utter confusion. Maybe my statement before wasn't clear.

I tried to gain all the courage left in me as I spoke the words I wished weren't true. "Edward, you never cared for me, you never had feelings for me at all for that matter, it was just a game, and you finally came to your senses." I had to fight back dry sobs as I spelled it out clearly for him. " Edward… you never loved me." Hear come the waterworks.
