A/N: Thor 2 spoilers ahead. My friend wanted me to write about Frigga, but I added in Loki. They're always difficult to write. This one is dedicated to a dear friend, r.i.p.

You were the only one to understand… Right when I thought I was alone, you were there, standing beside me. Can you remember those days? Because those are the one that I hold near and dear to my heart…

The sounds of muffled sobs coming from her son's bedroom was something any mother could quickly pick up on. "Loki? What is the matter?" Frigga gently asked as she approached her son's bed.

He shook his head, his face buried into a pillow.

"Loki…" Her warm hand brushed against the child's back.

"Th-Thor didn't want to play with me," Loki cried, slowly turning his head to meet his mother's gaze. "He likes Sif and his other friends more!"

Frigga pulled his tiny body onto her lap and hugged him close to her chest. "He loves you, Loki," she said in a soothing tone. "Next time, I'll be sure he invites you to play."

"But the others hate me!" he bawled. "And they'll hate Thor for bringing me along!"

"Oh, Loki," she murmured. "Please don't fret, darling." She ran her fingers through her son's raven locks. "How about we have some fun of our own today?" she suggested with a wide smile.

Loki stared up at her expectantly. "Doing what?"

"Anything you like."

The boy pursed his lips as he took a moment to think. "Teach me the fire magic again," he announced, already feeling happier.

"You like that spell, don't you?" she quietly giggled.

"I like magic, Mother!" Loki beamed. "Only you and I know it, right? It's special just to us!"

Frigga smiled and lifted Loki up into her arms. "You are a very bright boy, my son, to learn it so quickly."

"That's because I want to learn everything you know!" He tightly wrapped his arms around his mother's neck.

You were the only one to show me love… The only one who truly cared… Now that you're gone, who am I to rely on, Mother?
