What had happened?
Tobi gingerly held his hand up to his head as he cracked his single eye open. Slowly and cautiously, he rose to his feet, trying to maintain his balance. For some unknown reason, he felt really dizzy. Tobi didn't notice that his mask wasn't placed on his face at the moment. Finally regaining his balance, Tobi got a chance to look at his surroundings. A question formed in his head.
'Where am I?'
Tobi's eyes rose down to directly in front of him. A blurry figure had just appeared at the horizon line.
Not really thinking straight, his mind going into a dazed state (a/n: ha that rhyme XD) Tobi croaked out, "who's there?"
The figure started to make it's way towards him.
"Who are you?" Tobi asked, yet it came out as a whisper.
As the figure got closer, the form began to take shape. And the shape became very familiar. Tobi immediately recognized the long hair, the exposesd chest which the mouth on it opened slightly with every breath.
"Tobi?" Deidara questioned quietly as he came into clear sight. Tobi let out a squall of happiness.
"Oh, it's you Sempai! This is so great!" Tobi cried, his exposed face glowing. He clasped his hands together. "I thought I was all alone! Oh, so that means you managed to defeat Sasuke! Oh Sempai that's so brilliant! You're so great! Now we just have to go back to Leader and-"
"Don't you get it Tobi," Deidara interrupted, a rather serious look on his face. "I'm dead, un."
Tobi's eye widened.
Tension built through the air, making it sickenly thick. Tobi backed up a few steps away from Deidara.
"N-Nani?!"
"I'm dead," Deidara repeated as if it was the most simple thing in the world.
"But..." Tobi started to stumble as he felt the dizziness wave over him again- but this time also came with confusion. "You..."
"And I'm OK with that!" the artist continued on, oblivious to Tobi's meltdown. "Because I died...with a bang, un!"
Tobi peered up at Deidara with one eye with a questioning look.
"Don't you get it? I was my last masterpiece, un! And what's better than having your death being reformed as art?"
"But...no, you can't..." Tobi mumbled, his tongue started to get tied.
"And what was even better was that I saw fear! Did you see it Tobi, un? There was fear, un! Fear in his eyes as he saw that I was turning myself into a bomb! It was wicked, un!" As Deidara continued his long speech, he started to absently wander away from Tobi.
"Ah! Sempai, where are you going?" Tobi called after him. He tried to move his feet, only to find them frozen to the bland ground below. "Sempai!"
"My last words I spoke were great, un! Cause my art's a bang!" His voice started to fade with every step his took.
"SEMPAI!" Tobi screeched, starting to sob uncontrollably, stretching out his hands. "SEMPAI!"
Soon he couldn't even hear Deidara's voice. His form was gone. Deidara was gone.
With his arms still outstretched, Tobi suddenly gained control of his feet. Instead of running, he fell to his knees, tears falling from the bridge of his nose and to his knees. He dropped one arm but kept the other one out, curling his fingers up into a ball.
"Sempai..."
