Disclaimer: I don't own Monk. This takes place during the camping scene where Randy and Monk are chatting

"Okay," Randy told Monk, "You asked me a question. Now can I ask you a question?"

"I think you just asked me a question when you asked me if you could ask me a question," Monk said with a smirk.

"Very funny," Randy said, "anyway I know why they call you ELECTRIC LOVE. Leland told me that story. I… have to ask though—what made you do it?"

"Love made me do it," Monk said, "I loved her more then I loved myself."

"But didn't the shocks hurt," Randy asked

"That's kind of what they do," Monk said, "But it didn't matter. I would rather I be hurt then Trudy any day of the week any week of the month any month of the year"

"Do you ever doubt yourself," Randy asked, "Every wonder if you've made the right decision on things or not?"

"Of course," Monk said, "But never when it came to Trudy"

"So… you never questioned if you were doing the right thing in that case?"

"Never. Just like I never questioned that 10 is a better number"

"Why is ten a better number anyway," Randy asked

"It just is," Monk said, "Like for example one time someone was supposed to be back at 7 o'clock and they got back at 7:01. I was the one keeping tabs and I called them and said to get back out and not come back until 7:10."

Randy cracked up.

"Was she that person," he asked.

"I never really paid attention when I was keeping tabs when it came to her," Monk said, "I trusted her 100% and then some"

"Why and then some," Randy asked.

"Because if she broke that 100% it would just be the 'and then some' so I would still trust her 100%," Monk said, "just not the 'and then some'"

"Can I ask you one more question," Randy asked.

"Sure. You know you don't have to ask me if you can ask me a question," Monk said

"Well you said that when T- she-"

"Randy it's alright," Monk said, "You can call her Trudy. It's her name"

"Right. Anyway you said that when um… Trudy was going through a tough time it was harder for you then it was for her and that when she was going through a tough time it affected you as much as when you were going through a tough time"

"No. It affected me worse when she was going through a tough time then when I was going through a tough time. Because I love her."
