*fangirls* I'm so happy guys! If you go check out the TVD wiki article for S7, you will see that there is NO Elena Gilbert to speak of! I'm way too happy about that... but Kat said that she wouldn't mind having some Bamon in S7! *dies* October 8th can't arrive any sooner... I just know that Plec will fuck us over somehow through, so I really shouldn't get my hopes up... anyways, I heard somewhere over the grapevine that Nina said that she might appear in the S7 finale but just a cameo or them going into her thoughts. Hey, they are still debating on whatever the timeskip should be 2-3 years or 7 years... also, Damon is living with Bonnie in this one (well him and Stefan) because their house, in real life, was destroyed so it won't be a setting in S7... sad times, I know. Another thing, there won't be any Steroline in this. I HATE that couple, they don't go well together at all -.- Anyways, on with our drabble!

This one is set in such a possible S7 'mood' so, since I don't know what the new season will be like, you can take this as an AU.

We Are In This Together

"Damon, I'm back..." a certain witch called, closing her home's door behind her. "Are you there?"

Silence greeted her inquiry and she sighed, dropping her bag near the nightstand as she walked deeper into the house. Three years had passed since Elena's eternal sleep began and a lot of things had changed.

For one, the Salvatore mansion was destroyed due to unknown causes (personally, Bonnie was blaming a certain mother of theirs or the groupies she liked to hang around with) so the brothers moved in with her (after Stefan rejected Caroline's offer of moving in with her, claimed one of the three bedrooms Bonnie's house had for himself and barely left the room ever since) and Damon, being Damon, had decided to share her room with her. Of course, she had objected at first but he managed to convince her otherwise after claiming that he had nightmares of Elena's silent body suddenly... well, she didn't want to go there. As such, one could imagine why she was worried when silence met her question. She knew that Stefan was out hunting (or something along those lines since he had told them so that very morning during breakfast) but Damon had stated that he would be chilling at home for the day. Chuckling to herself, the Bennett witch wondered why them calling her house 'home' felt so... awkward, yet warm and satisfying at the same time...

"Judgey? Is that you?" she suddenly heard him call out and smiled.

No matter what happened, they would always be together in this... whatever this was.

The fight with their mother, the Heretics or even Klaus (whom she doubted would ever return from wherever he is), they would be in it.

Together.

"Coming!" she shouted back as her boots sounded on the stairs, followed by peaceful silence.

I don't see Klaus as a villian anymore - never really did - but that doesn't mean that I fully accept whatever he and Hayley (was that her name?) used to be. She just feels so... random. Utterly random and just another attempt to make fans angry *sigh* Also, I love Stefan and I love Caroline but I wouldn't be caught dead shipping Steroline. Their shipping name on it's own sounds like something old, sterile and unwanted :/
