the Pineapple incident

This is about the episode: The Pineapple Incident. Have you ever wondered how the pineapple ended up on the end table by Ted's bed? This is a possibility of how it got there.

If you don't remember the episode, then here is a quick recap.

Carl, the bartender, served his special drink to the group but none of them wanted to drink. Barney ended up talking Ted into having a fun night, so Ted drank all five drinks and started acting crazy. When he wakes up the next morning, he doesn't remember anything, especially how the pineapple ended up on his end table by the bed, or who the naked girl is that's sleeping facedown on his bed.

Ted closed his phone from whom he thinks was Robin on the other end and waved bye to Carl on his way outside. "See you later vampire." Carl smiled and nodded at him while he cleaned a glass.

He starts to walk down the street when a taxi pulls over and Trudy gets out.

"Ted. What are you doing out here? I thought I was suppose to meet you at the bar."

"Tru-day." Ted drawled out, drunkenly stumbling back a little. "What are you doing back here?"

"You called me, said that we were attracted toward each other, and why we didn't just hook up." Trudy watched as Ted swayed in place a little.

Ted laughed, then got as serious as a drunk person can get. "Do you know where penguins are? I really need to see a penguin right now."

Thinking that Ted is funny and cute, Trudy laughs and links arms with him. "I'll walk you home. Where do you live?"

Ted started walking down the sidewalk with Trudy in tow. Right when he puts his foot on the first step leading into his apartment building, he sees a homeless person, but it's what the homeless person his holding that really draws his attention. Letting go of Trudy's arm, he runs to the corner of the street and grabs at the object that the homeless person has. The homeless person, being half asleep, doesn't know what's happening but knows enough to not lose the only thing in his possession.

"Ted what are you doing?" Trudy asked, not sure what to do.

"I need this pineapple." Ted states, quickly looking at Trudy than back to the homeless person.

"Why?" Trudy asked, confused by Ted's antics.

"It'll save me from the vampire." Ted said, as if it was completely obvious.

Trudy's laughed. "Vampire?"

"Carol's a vampire, and his weakness is pineapples." Ted said, using all of his strength, which wasn't much in his drunken state, to wrestle the pineapple away from the homeless, who wasn't giving in the least.

Trudy, thinking that this was hilarious, decided to play along. "How did you figure that out?"

"If you think about it, you'll notice that none of the drinks have pineapple in them." Ted explained, completely forgetting about the pinĂ  collada that he had ordered early that night. "So Carol's weakness must be pineapples."

Seeing that Ted wasn't going to give up until he got the pineapple, Trudy pulled out a ten dollar bill and held in in front of the homeless man. Seeing money in his face, the homeless person completely forgot about the pineapple and took the money."

"Yes." Ted exclaimed. He tucked the pineapple under one arm and took Trudy's arm in the other, then walked back to his apartment to finish his night with the lovely lady on his arm.
