All we know is falling. Nobody ever actually helped us back on our feet. Sure there was Jeb. And my mom. And even Fang.
But…we are still falling. Mom and Jeb are always off somewhere in private discussing matters that are too 'delicate' for us to handle apparently.
My flock is always by my side. I know that they would rather die than leave me.
Even though our wings keep us in the air, we are still just falling. We should be soaring.
But the years in those cages have broken us, even me. And I don't know if I will be able to get back up again.
All we know is falling. In the end, will we be caught? Or will we finally reach the ground?
Who would catch six mutant bird-kids anyway?
Who is brave enough to break our fall?
