A/N: The Sailor Moon part of the story could be manga or anime based. The Rayearth side is a mix of anime and manga (Hikaru's hair is pink and the Knights could return to Cephiro in the manga, Nova only exists in the anime). Sorry in advance for any OOCness.
A few weeks had passed since Chibiusa's return to Crystal Tokyo but the actions she took as the Black Lady still weighed heavily on her shoulders. Her parents and the other senshi had forgiven her, though she hadn't forgiven herself. The guild led to days wandering the palace with only the Luna-P for company. Normally, she wouldn't run into anyone, but today was different.
During her wandering, she found herself in one of the palace gardens. This particular garden had many large fruit trees and a rather secluded bench. It was a perfect spot for people who wanted to be alone. She walked toward the bench but then stopped abruptly. A young woman with long pink hair was already there! At least the woman was asleep so she could make a hasty escape. The woman opened her eyes (they were the same color as her own!) and smiled.
"Hiding from someone?"
Chibiusa blushed with embarrassment. "Yeah."
Her eyes closed. "You can hide with me. I don't mind."
She nodded and sat next to the woman. For awhile, neither spoke.
"Nothing can change the past."
Chibiusa gave her a weird look.
"I mean, an evil force made me do bad things once and I can't change that. I just had to learn to live with myself. At least you didn't do any permanent damage."
"Oh..."
"But I guess your situation was quite different—" Another woman stormed into the garden and she could have been the other woman's twin.
"Nova! Do you have to run off every time we come here?"
Nova stood up and grinned. "I can never stay hidden from you Hikaru. Though you should give me some slack. I never get a chance to enjoy the gardens at home." She turned to give one last grin to Chibiusa. "See you later, kid."
Then Nova began to fade into dots of pink energy that returned to Hikaru.
"I hope she wasn't giving you a hard time..."Hikaru trailed off.
Chibiusa shook her head, still a little shocked at Nova's disappearance. "No, she wasn't."
"That's good." With that, she left.
Chibiusa turned over the information giving during the recent events and decided if Nova could forgive herself, so could she.
