I was sitting at the counter reading about stories of humans and what they do for fun. I always wanted to go to the surface and walk on the land. Most r wondering what am I? Well I'm a mermaid. Oh didn't see that one coming. I live in Oceana with my bestfriends Grace, Keasley, and Julie. My name is Kim... It really is Kimberly.. But if u call me that I will oout our head off. " Hey Kim can u put the scale conditioner on the stand for me?" asked Julie "Oh ya sure." I swam over the the Stand " Kim's not paying any attention again." Said Keasley with a smile. " She's probably thinking about that human she saw the other day." Grace said. They all let out small giggles. " I don't know what your talking about." I said a little fast. I'm not good at lying. " ohhhh Kim's got it good!" Said Julie. Ok so here's what happend I went to the surface for a few minutes. To see what was going on. I saw a group of boys looking at me. One boy swaw coming over to me on a floatation device with a pointy edge. He couldn't see my tale so I put my hand on my necklace and said ' I wish to be human' my tale turned into legs. He came up to me and said " Wow u must be really brave to come out this far with out a surfboard." oh so that's what it's called. " Well lets just saying I like the water more than land." I said with a smile. He smiled back, then he left. Ok I got to Amit meh was cute! His big brown eyes, his hair, and that smile! Uh I was in love with a human... OMG IM IN LOVE WITH A HUMAN! " Well I think we need to go to the surface and look around.. What do u say?" Asked Grace looking at me. Already I knew what my answer is and I said " YES" we looked at Kealsey and she said " ok I'm in" all of us looked at Julie with pleading eyes." Oh ok fine we can go." We went to pack the things we neededand headed to the surface. When we got there we all put a hand on our necklace and said " I wish to be human" our tales turned into legs and we ran to the sidewalk as humans called it. We myour our way over to our friend Leah's house. She was letting us stay there. Eveyo e watched movies for the rest of the night and I read books on human life and what they do on land.
