PROLOGUE
"You have to keep it secret," Jasper stresses, clutching the dark bag tightly to his chest.
"Jasper, I know," Esme sighs as she reaches for the bag.
He pulls it from her reach and exclaims, "This is really important, Esme!"
"Jasper, I know! I've only been doing it for 36 years!" Esme snaps, wrestling the bag from him.
Jasper relinquishes the bag reluctantly and rejoins Alice in the living room.
"Jazz, you gotta stop worrying. Esme's been doing this for years, she knows how important it is to you."
"I know…but I worry. If anyone else finds out…I'll be ruined."
