Night in Port Royal
Somewhere in Port Royal, England…
"Elizabeth? We found this man floating in the beach waters this morning. I believe you know him." Cutler Beckett announced as the chambermaids brought in a bedraggled, bearded young man. The peculiar thing about him was his ruby quartz glasses.
"Leave him here" Elizabeth ordered. Cutler did as told and the group left the room. Elizabeth rushed over to Scott to see if he was wounded
"Ugh…so much for the welcoming party. Was the flaming arrows really necessary?" Scott groaned, uninterested by Norrington's dissatisfying manners
"He doesn't quite reason with your people. But my father does, along with Will, Jack, Cutler, and…" Elizabeth started before giving Scott a warm, healing kiss
"Me" She finished. Scott smiled and replied, "It's good to see you"
"And you as well, Mr. Summers" Elizabeth responded as the two made out on the balcony bench
"There's something very unusual about that figure" Norrington assumed, watching Scott and Elizabeth dance in the ballroom
"Oh please, save the over dramatics. Scott is our guest: I suggest you try to ease up to him, for old times sake" Governor Swann joked before taking a sip of champagne
"Yes sir" Norrington groaned, appalled by the breath of liquor on Governor Swann before heading out for fresh air
"Tell me: Has there been any moment where you just look at the stars? If they mean something? Anything?" Elizabeth asked as she and Scott were laid on her queen-size bed
"Yes. Several times before. Even after Rachel was born." Scott answered as Elizabeth refilled his glass of ginger ale
"When I was a little girl, my mother once said the shooting star is a sign of destiny; of something of greatness. I didn't actually believe in all that…that was until I met Jack" Elizabeth smiled, amused by the memory of their first encounter
"He's a good man. And one heck of a sailor" Scott commented, taking a sip as Elizabeth massaged his chest "You missed a spot"
Elizabeth laughed, amused by his sense of humor. "Ah, its nice to be in England. Peace and quiet, the English channel breezing in the sands" Scott replied, gazing at the beautiful night sky
"Scott? Can I share something…discreet?" Elizabeth asked, her hand covering her belly
"Of course. What is it?" Scott asked, wondering
"I'm pregnant…with your son. Yours and Jean's" Elizabeth confessed, scanning the room so Norrington wasn't eavesdropping
"How long has this been?" Scott asked, amazed by the sudden announcement
"Nine months. The delivery's this Sunday" Elizabeth added, her mind filled of excitement…and despair if Jean found out the connection with her and Scott.
"I wont tell anyone. I swear it" Scott vowed. Elizabeth nodded and the two once more kissed before making natural love as untamed as the Caribbean. For who in Port Royal could ever fall in love with…a mutant?
