I do not own the Boondocks, that honor goes to Aaron McGruder.

A World of Grey

I am a blind man trapped in a world of grey,

How can I look forward to tomorrow if I cant tell night from day?

I can't see the faces looking I only hear what they say,

Staying steady judging wish they would all go away.

Until I am alone at last with the darkness around me,

Close my eyes tight and let the abyss surround me.

I sit alone with my lonliness, nothing else around,

This is a place where there is no joy to be found.

Wait stop, what am I doing I cant fade away,

Have to break free from the darkness its not a place I can stay.

So I crossed into the light where I thought I'd be free,

Though when I opened my eyes it was to bright to see.

Now that I'm bathing in the light, it is eclipsing my vision.

This is the furthest from one of my wisest decisions.

So I broke free from the light in a familiar way,

I am now a man of vision, in a world of grey.

Standing with a smile on my face because now I finally see,

That at the end of it all this was the way it was meant to be.
