Life's Journey
Sometimes I find myself straying
Forgetting Him who gave his life for me;
I'm growing older and changing
And the path is harder for me to see
I swore I would always follow you
But sometimes forget that pledge,
Sticking instead to what the world thinks true
And letting myself almost fall off the edge
A child no more
Growing into a new body
Not understanding what I knew before
Wisdom lost, stumbling, unsteady
I wish I were stronger
And my devotion wasn't so weak
It's harder to grasp the concept when you're older
And heaven's gate is harder to seek
But through it all
I know you'd still love me
That if into darkness I'd fall
You'd reach out and catch me
Guidance you give
For me to find the right way
Learn how to truly live...
All I need is a little faith
