Prologue

Walking down the platform, you could see families saying goodbye to their loved ones. There were kids running around, chasing each other, laughing. It made me happy and sad at the same time.

I bet your wondering who I am and what I'm doing. Well I am on plat form nine and three quarters, on my way to Hogwarts for my fifth year.

I got on the train and headed for a compartment to set in. I found an empty one at the back of the train. I walked in and put my luggage on the rack above the seats. I sat down with my cat cage in the seat next to me. While looking out the window, I saw students saying goodbye to their parents and younger siblings. I also spotted George and Fred with their siblings a couple of feet away from the train. They were all laughing and joking around with one another. I looked away feeling like I was intruding on a family moment.

It made me angry, 'How could they be laughing and smiling like nothing happen last year? How could they forget?' I sighed and banged my head on the wall behind me. I looked up and noticed a burnt mark on the wall.

"We are having fun aren't we?" I heard a voice inside my head say. I smiled ever so slightly and closed my eyes. I pictured being back at Hogwarts with my best friend.

"Isn't It so nice? Its like a carnival every day. Oh! How I wish these days could go on and on like this forever and ever." My friend yelled spinning around in a circle.

I opened my eyes and smiled again and whispered, "Those days were like a carnival, a crazy circus we thought would last forever." I grabbed a lather book from my bag and started to read.

It all started one day…
