Chapter 1
It was only the first week since I was released from the home for freaky barbers for the second time. I had completed a visit to my dear aunt Muriel. However I missed Eustace's ebullient
charm and that sweet pooch courage for they had went into town to get the groceries. Oh what a lovely little private visit it was. But then I had to move along…
I took a bus, took a train, down to the old town of somewhere. I thought I might take a nice, quiet walk on this nice, quiet Sunday. There was hardly a head of hair to be spotted.
I walked down Main Street past the butcher, the grocer, the baker, and past the barber? It appeared I had some competition. "Smith's Barber Shop" is what it read. I couldn't help but scowl
at the thought of another barbershop against my own.
Speaking of which, I managed to find the building of my own old barbershop. It was partially boarded up with just enough missing for me to be able to read it's old title: "Fred's Barbershop".
I sighed as I contemplated the future of this little shop and began to walk back to "The lonely man's" hotel. Where I would be staying until things began to pick back up.
