She watched him from afar. He made her heart flutter. He made her speechless. He took her breath away. But she knew she could never have him.
"Mystical? Who are you looking at?" her friend Ginny Weasley asked.
"No one." Mystical said turning away from the person she was looking at.
Mystical Redgrove had known Ginny since her first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They had been through a lot over the years since they attended Hogwarts. Now they were graduated and each turning 20 in a few months. They had been through a lot lately with the ending of Lord Voldemort. They both were grateful that most of the group had survived. Most of the Death Eaters were dead, had disappeared, were locked up in Azkaban, or on occasion out and about in disguises like Mystical had seen. She caught a glimpse of him leaving.
"Hey. Can I meet up with you later?" she asked.
"Sure." Ginny said.
They said their good-byes and Mystical left Flourish and Blotts following him. She had an idea where he was headed. She braced herself to follow him into Knockturn Alley. She made sure her wand was close by just in case. He turned down the alley and she was close behind. The alley, to her surprise, was empty. Not very many people were around.
She watched him walking into Borgin and Burkes. She glanced through the window and watched him make his disguise disappear by the tap of his wand. She had seen right through it by seeing his eyes. She watched him talking with the owner and then look at the window. She immediately ducked out of view and into the shadows. She watched him looked around and go back in continuing his conversation. She carefully walked back to the window and watched. He finished in the dreary store and again she ducked out of view. As he headed farther down into the alley, she noticed that it was getting darker. He walked into the darkest part of the place and she stopped.
Her heart was beating so fast that she felt like it was going to burst. She looked around seeing nothing but darkness. No light shined down at this part of the alley which was creeping her out. Then she felt hands grab her and pull her into the darkness.
"Why are you following me?" he asked curiously.
"I…uh…" she stuttered frightened.
"I see you're scared." he said amused by this. "What's your name, girl?"
"M-Mystical." she managed to get out.
"Ah. Mystical Redgrove." he said sneering. "I know all about you."
"How?" she squeaked.
"I have my sources. Your parents are purebloods, you are friends with the Weasleys, and Harry Potter. You fought along side them to defeat the Dark Lord." he said.
She looked at him straight in the eye. "Voldemort deserved what he got."
He sneered. "You have guts saying the Dark Lord's name."
"Yeah. I do." she said getting her voice back.
"Why are you following me?" he asked repeating his first question.
"I don't know. I was fascinated by you I guess." she said.
Again, he was amused by this. "You know what would happen if you were caught by others besides me?"
She smirked and stayed silent. She realized he still had his hands on her arms.
"I have an idea why you really followed me." he said.
"And that would be what?" she asked.
"You want me." he whispered.
'He's right. I do want him.' she thought. 'How could you not want a gorgeous man?' He circled around her and this drove her nuts.
"Say you want me." he said in a low voice.
"I want you." she said barely above a whisper.
He planted a passionate kiss on her lips. This went on for about a minute. She melted as he left her breathless. He broke it and sneered. He then disapparated in front of her leaving her with the effects of a lingering kiss.
"Damn you, Lucius Malfoy." she hissed heading towards Diagon Alley, still replaying the kiss in her mind.
