Our Little Secret

Kowalski sat in his lab. Thinking over where he stood. He was a penguin, this wasn't natural for him to feel this way… but there was something about that lemur that he couldn't help but like. In a naïve… kind of cute way… Kowalski used to love Julien. Of course over the past few weeks they grew… very close. The lemur always seemed to linger in the penguins mind. He knew Skipper wouldn't approve of the lemur being anywhere near this close to one of his men but… Kowalski couldn't help himself. He was hooked on his relationship with that lemur. The handsome, fun loving… crazy ring-tailed lemur. It wasn't a big deal if Skipper didn't know… it wasn't a BIG secret was it? … Was it? … Kowalski was lost in his thoughts but then he realized… he was going to be late!

Julien sat on his thrown. Thinking over where he stood. He was a lemur, a lemur king! It wasn't right for him to feel this way… but there was something about that penguin that he couldn't help but like. In a handsome… kind of assertive way… Julien used to love Kowalski. Of Course over the past few weeks they grew… very close. The penguin always popped into the lemur's mind. He knew everyone would be ok with Kowalski and Julien being… a couple. But Kowalski had insisted that the bossy penguin would not like it. Even with that being said, Julien wouldn't let go of this feeling. He was hooked on his relationship with the penguin. The smart, smooth-talking… crazy scientific penguin. It wasn't a big deal if the bossy penguin didn't know… it wasn't a BIG secret was it? … But… Julien couldn't help but feel a sadness at the thought of having to hide his feelings to Kowalski from the world… Julien was lost in his thoughts but then he realized… he was going to be late!

Kowalski sat in the soft grass. It was pretty dark in the park but as Kowalski sat by the tree he always waited at… he knew every detail of the area so much he could close his eyes and still make it around.

"I'm so sorry!" Julien called, as he ran over to Kowalski's side. "I didn't mean to be late…"

Kowalski smiled, "I was late too Julien. It's ok…"

Julien looked into Kowalski's ocean blue eyes. "Kowalski… were you… thinking about… maybe…"

Kowalski sighed. "I know you don't like this relationship being a secret Julien… but… I just don't know if I'll be comfortable telling everyone… what if Skipper makes me… orders me to never see you again?"

Julien lovingly wrapped his tail around the penguin's waist the way he knew Kowalski loved. "If you're not ready to tell everyone…" Julien said softly, "then we'll keep it a secret."

Kowalski smiled, "thank-you for understanding Julien… I know this must be hard for you…"

"It has to be hard for you too Kowalski" Julien pointed out. "It's not just my secret you know! It's our secret!"

"That we swear to never tell unless we both agree that it's time… I love you Julien." Kowalski kissed Julien's cheek softly.

Julien laughed, "don't get to mushy! You ARE the soldier in this relationship! And when we tell the secret I don't want to have to be more masculine then you!"

Kowalski let Julien pull him in closer with his tail. "Well then, I guess we're going to have to keep this secret until I get a bit of practice with my muscularity then…"

Julien laughed again, "Our secret. Not this secret!" He teased.

Kowalski laughed, and then kissed the lemur again. "Our little secret."
