a/n - Hello ! This is just a short drabble but it's my first time writing anything so please be gentle ! I'd love to hear any advice you've got though ! This is just my take on Yukino's feelings about the timeskip and about Lucy .
"Yukino !"
Her heart slipped into her throat . It'd been almost a year since she'd heard that voice .
"Lucy !"
Memories came flooding back - memories of a loss , of humiliation , memories of a girl who deserved her spirits more than she did , of jealousy turning into admiration - memories she'd pushed away a year ago when Fairy Tail disbanded .
She was alone . The white wizard had her trapped and nobody was coming to save her .
She could think only of her as she screamed . Of her blonde hair that shone in in the sun , of her soft lips and warm hands - of the way friends and admirers flocked to her side . Of the self loathing and jealousy . Of bitter , bitter nights when all she could do was cry and berate herself for not being more - more charming , more cheerful , more casual , more .
She was not strong . She was not a leader . She was not special . She was Yukino - insecure , pessimistic , useless Yukino . She was nothing compared to the rest of them who talked of great things like friendship and love . All she had were her keys .
She could feel her eyes slipping shut . What did it matter anymore ? Would her guild miss her ? Would she ? She could hear Frosch and Lector yelling out her name , fading , fading , fading
A single slash .
The white wizard toppled from his perch .
Her eyes widened . But of course , she had forgotten about her . The only one who provided more balance and security than even Libra could . The one who never went easy on her . The one who respected her even after her defeat .
